Zoo Mania and somewhat fun things

Earlier this week we went on a field trip to Zoo Atlanta, the Capitol, the Cyclorama, the Anne Frank Museum, and the High Museum. First we went to the High, it was featuring the Louvre exhibit, which is what we were going to see. It had historical pottery and other art, each with own story to tell. We each got a audio headphone set and started through the exhibit. Everyone had interest in the art, which wasn't expected over this piece of history. After spending a few hours over the 3 floors of art we left.
Then we went to the Capitol. We walked into the building, right passed were Sonny Purdue was sitting in his office! We then went up the marble stairs were we went into the room were the Representatives make and pass bills. Nobody was in there but watching and listening to our guide still amused me. After learning about the Representatives we went out into an area in the Capitol were there was all kinds of history on Georgia! I learned so much, but our trip was not even half way through!

We left the Capitol and went across the street to the park. We all ate snacked then played kick the can with an empty soda can. I guess are exercise for the day. But soon after we loaded on the bus already pretty late. We went to the zoo dropped of our things and then headed to the Varsity for dinner. I had chicken wings!

When we got to the zoo the sun was just starting to set. We watched a video learned the rules and went then went out into the dark closed down zoo. Our guide, named Michelle, lead us to the food room, were we found out about the 3 tables. The carnivore table, the herbivore table, and the primate table. Primates are herbivores but they have a separate table because were primates so if were sick and we cough on the food they can get sick. So it is extra sanitary.
Then we went to the reptile house. We were buddied up and each given a tiny red light because it was dark in the reptile house. Every group was given a little red flashlight and a specific animal to find. So off we were peering in dark windows with our little red light. It was more fun than you would think. They even had a alligator inside. Then we went ate crackers and juice. Which was the last thing we did for that day. Because after that we slept in a room on the floor, at the zoo
We woke up nice and early and the sun was already shining. Out we go for our real tour of the zoo. We fist saw some birds followed by numerous animals, over all animals the bongo and a ostrich related bird were coolest! But there are other cool animals.

Our next stop was the Cyclorama, it was about the battle in Atlanta which ended the Civil War. It was thrilling and such a work of art. They even had a real cannon from the Confederates used in the Battle of Atlanta!

Last we went to the Anne Frank Museum were we learned more about the disastrous events Hitler and the Nazis. We watched a video, then left. But we still had fun on the bus!
